hey guys, is it ok if i only train muscle endurance and not muscle strength?
because im planning to do alot of pushups, pullups and alot of running. and i don't wanna get into lifting weights at all. so my question is, is that good what im doing?

Make sure after you reach, say, 200 push-ups per day, you switch to jumping pushups . Generally, it is not about how good or bad is a particular exercise for boxing, it is about whether you are doing its explosive variation or not.

train your muscles for endurance. You could have the greatest power in your shots but once you tire out you'll have nothing. Boxing is more about stamina and endurance than it is raw power......... Rockin'

With pushups and chinups its important to change your grip! Use a shorter grip (inside your shoulder length) than switch to a wider grip (outside your shoulder width)!! Same with pushups, so your tendons & muscles are working in coordination.
Light dumbell bisceps and tricep work is a plus, you can do it without actual weights just find something you can hold that weighs 15 to 25lbs and use it for some front and back arm strengthing! I use to have 1/2 brinks that I'd hold for certain roadwork sessions, they were about 1 pound each and I do believe I benefited by using them 2 to 3 times a week! Even light shadowing when you short extend your punches can be a very good strengthing session for wrists, forearms and shoulders! Use your imagination when using lightweights to workout with you don't need actual weights to add strength and endurance! Ray

Build ridiculously good endurance and explosiveness first....then focus on power.

Power is great...but it don't mean shiet if 1. You gas too soon (power is gone when you gas) and 2. You're so slow you can't catch your target.

it's not only endurance..you will be more powerfull and faster than the guy who spends more time in weight lifting room. And yes you are on the right way - push ups and pull up bar - over weight lifting.

Well You are doing right but first you have to consult with your trainer where you are getting training because he can guide you better than any other person . Have you joined Fitness Training Centre or not ? .
