  • How long for a knuckle to heal?

Well, I was doing some building work at my friends 2 months a go. We were breaking down his kitchen and plaster boarded up toilet etc...

Then we got ****** and had a punch competition and broke up the kitchen units and plaster boards with our hands. I punch a board that had a wooden plank behind it and didn't budge it. It connected badly and now my pinky knuckle hurts severely every time it hits something. I gave it time to heal but nothing as of yet. I can feel a harder lump when I stretch my fingers out.

Any ideas? I am not much of a doctor person TBH. I prefer to let my body heal with my own help.

You'll find that bones in the body heal in the path of least resistance. Which isn't always the correct way or optimal way for boxing.

If you're not a doctor person because you can't afford one, then that is a different issue, but if you're not a doctor person becase you don't want to go, you need to suck it up and go see a doc to make sure that **** is going to heal right. Also he'll get a good chuckle out of the story of how you messed it up, although it won't be the first time he's heard something like that.

If you can't afford a doctor, try to see a physicians assistant or a nurse or an experienced trainer.

We can't see your knuckle, and even if we could, we probably can't help.
