  • How to stop your knuckles from discolouring?

The knuckle on my index finger already looks like a mole from hitting the heavy bag.

Anyone got any tips on how to prevent this?

is it bruising or just discolouring?

          Hi,

No bruising, just discolouring of the skin.

Are your wraps or gloves fairly new? Could be the dye bleeding.

I am not exactly sure what is it from the descriptions. Maybe you need some knuckle conditioning exercises to strengthen them?

As your wraping your hands make a fist and be sure the knuckles are all evenly at the same height! Build up the lower knuckles with foam or pieces of extra hand wrap cloth. Your index might be hitting first and receiving to much pressure from the punch impact! Use the extra material towards the end of wraping your hands!

Find a pro trainer to show you different techniques to protect your fists! Ray

Nah, they're pretty haggard already, I doubt its dye.

The skin on my knuckle is starting to look like the skin on your elbow. That's my problem.
