  • Developing REAL POWER

I wanted to know will 5 days a week monday through friday
    50 pull ups
    10 rounds on mitts
10 rounds on double end bag
10 rounds on a 200 pound heavy bag will increase my power heavily

what will give you more power, is working on your punch mechanics. then practicing it on the pads, bag and in sparring.

that's a LOT of work-out. Are u sure you can handle this? U must be a beast to do it 5 day a week for 5 weeks

Real punching power comes from technique, not exercises. Exercises only supplement said power.

That said, I subscribe to the philosophical view that heavy hitters are born, not made. While there are some exceptions, said exceptions are few and far between IMO.

          that's just too much))

First of all, I hope you have a coach who trains you and shows good way of striking. Secondly, once you know how to throw good punches, work 5- rounds on bag and 5-6 rounds on mitts.

Also as for pull up bar, as long as you dont buy it in the store. You need a real pull up bar made of metal. And of course you have to weight at least 60kgs. It takes years to develop technique and speed. and with those 2 things, you get power eventually.

I'm sure this will help but power comes from technique.

power comes from strenght, times speed, then technique

you're not getting much power from that routine, you wont spark anyone out for 10 even with great technique and accuracy(unbless they just suck)

explosive strenght = power, and that's the most important factor

you need to build up great strenght, wthout losing speed

Im guessing he needs power to do decent damage, ko or at least drop people. it's pretty difficult to drop people if you less than 60kgs.. unless you are some kind of professional ?

                    No it won't!

Hand pads do nothing for power!
4 sets (with different grips) of 10 then 20....build the count up. 4 sets a day will help forearms, shoulders & back and front (grips) and be a good exercise to go with the other 20!!
Double end bag?...........................nope! No power there!
Unless you weight 400lbs a 200lb bag is ridiculous!
Theres many training techniques on a "normal" heavy bag that will help develop more power but it semms you don't know any. What does your trainer say???

Training every other day if you train for fitness is enough. If your training to increase conditioning 4 to 5 days a week is fine (2 days of rest) If your a competeting boxer you train 6 days a week with one day of rest (with exercises and maybe a 5 round shadow out session using short tight steps and short tight punches for 4 rounds and then a good shake out last round to finish!
When I hear questions like yours I just wonder why you don't get these answers from your trainers! Ray.
