Anybody here ever try car pushing?

Had this exercise recommended to me recently. Never done it before personally, but I'm thinking of at least trying it a couple times. Basically you're pushing your whip down a long road and timing yourself, and trying to beat that time.

Sh.t sound ridiculous but it's supposed to be an excellent way to build power in your legs as well as increase the force you can exert with your whole body, and I personally can see all that being very useful in boxing which is why I wanna give it a shot lol.

Anybody here who does or has done it?

Yeah, I've done it, and a bunch of times. not for exercise, but because my ****ing car broke down.
Great workout, by the way. Cannot beat it.

Hits the calves butt and quads tremendiously = power

Watch your heart tho just dont go too all out esp the first time know your limits, its a bit too good of an exercise, puts one hell of a strain on everything!

Also make sure you link the power to your shoulders via lat work ie pull ups and midsecton work ie paloff presses.

Is it really that difficult to move a car i mean it has 4 wheels they make it at ease. But one question just a replacement workout can it work if i just push against the wall or boulder like rock?

Pushing against the wall would make it an isometric exercise. I can't see that necessarily making you stronger but I can see it giving you the typical benefits of isometrics.

And iunno where the hell u stay to have boulders big enough to push just lying around LOL but yeah that could definitely replace pushin a whip

And no moving a car is actually not that easy at all unless you're either built like tyson or push a smart car or some sh.t lol

You can buy an especially made sled to drag for this purpose.

if your going to do this for regular exercise, i would keep a good eye on my back. Maybe wear one of those braces those moving company guys do, and make sure you keep your back somewhat upright..thats all i know

I just tried pushing the wall with my socks on on my carpeted floor. Feels like the same exercise except my feet got really hot really fast.
