whats the correct way to take a punch? Now it'd be nice to never have to know but if it happens and you see it coming how do you brace for it properly?

When you cannot avoid the punch by slipping/ducking/whatever, so it is almost at your jaw, relax your neck and roll with it. This is it. The worst thing you can do is to take the punch being stiff.

that's like one day we walk into the gym and one of the trainers is teaching them the best way to get knocked down without injuring yourself.
don't get hit is the key. if your eyes pick something up they will send the message to the brain to brace for impact. but if you don't see it your brain will be shocked for a moment atleast.
rolling the shots will decrease the effectiveness of the blow.
that same trainer told us the best way to take a shot aswell, lol. But that's confidential information............... Rockin'
