use your footwork to avoid leg strikes, he hits you once or twice in the leg and the fight is over; leg strikes above the waist should not be too hard to block, utilize feints constantly and look for openings.

you would still get ****.d btw

My advice to you is Not take the fight. You would get your legs chopped up. Have you done muay thai before? If not then you will get hurt. no offense bro.

I've done this before in an exhibition fight vs an undefeated muay thai fighter. Kickboxers in general aren't as familiar with being hit repetitively to the head as boxers are, so if you're a brawler; it's a good idea get inside and unleash your bombs. He will try to keep you on the outside with leg kicks. Instead of blocking or trying to parry his leg kicks; sweep them in the direction he's kicking, by stepping back and "slapping" his leg to follow through. This should get him off balance, so you can get in on him and counter with a right hook or cross (that is, if he's kicking with his right foot and is an orthodox fighter). I got 2 easy knockdowns like that. Getting hit in the shins for the first time hurts pretty bad, but you know it's not as bad as getting hit hard on the chin.

Summary: If he's right handed/orthodox, the majority of his leg kicks will come from his right (back) foot to your lead leg. If you're orthodox too and the kick is high enough for you to reach with your hand; slap the back of his right foot to your right (using your left hand) and you should have a nice opportunity to counter punch.

My uncle did golden gloves and I did muay thai lol. We ha had this hypothetical discussion several times. He always offered to take this hypothesis to the experimental stages and I didn't have the balls for it lol.

The best thing u can do is rush a Muay Thai fighter. They tend to start off slow (especially if theyre actually from thailand) and if you don't knock him out asap you will not have any legs to stand on.

It only takes a few outside/inside leg kicks on the thighs to completely destroy a leg that hasn't been conditioned to take them, or better yet check them properly. Your footwork will be completely gone and as a boxer that's pretty much the end of the fight.

learned that technique in karate. No sh¡t! lol It worked for me. I'd love to fight another muay thai fighter so I can use it again.

If you're allowed to catch their kicks (like in MMA), it's even easier. Muay Thai fighters are suckers for counter overhand rights.
