I've "developed" alot of state, regional & national boxing champions and more than a few world champions have come to me for preping.
And you've trained how many...................??????
My opinion is based on my experiences training youth and young adults and the youth don't question or have that many "doubts" about themselves they injest everything and the amount of repetitions are actually less than with young adults!!
If you count the champions on any level who have started boxing in their twenties it will be less than 1% of the crowned champs!!! Boxing history as we accept the Marquis of Queensbury rulings is about 135 years old now!
I don't disrespect any fighter, only goofy fans who think they know more about the sport than the people who make a living in it! It get ridiculous at times!! Ray.Comment

Not too old at all , u might not go as far as if u started at 14 but you can have a good 10 years at it . I started at 24 I'm 28 now and am just starting to get to the point where I can hold my own with anyone my weight and will be boxing in championships instead of just club shows so you will be fine . At least at 23 you will have girls out your system a bit and you have your man strength but you will only get out what you put in so go at it 100%Comment

It's the amateurs, there is no age too old to start. But if you're planning to turn pro at some point, I hope you're a fast learner or a gifted fighter. There are a few late 20 year olds in my gym and a couple of 30's and they're all either just starting or only had 1 or 2 amateur fights.Comment
