  • Pain in left elbow from bicep curls.

Let me just say i've only just started doing bicep curls.

I started a couple weeks back and this week i've started to get a sharp pain from the bottom of my left bicep and at the back of the left elbow.

    Anyone know what this is?.

Are you getting it straight away, or towards the middle/end of sets?

Muscle imbalance is one possibility, your triceps might be struggling with the weight, can be related to grip and wrist strain as well.

It's more likely you strained something doing a tricep curl or some kind of pulling exercise with your hand turned slightly off in the wrong direction. Just let it rest...ice and massage it deep. I'm having a bit of that at the moment myself.

Yes i gave it a couple of days rest and did a bit of research on youtube.

I think i was overdoing it with the waits which was effecting my form and putting to much strain on my wrists.

Make sure (if using a machine or if doing them from a seated position with a platform where you ret your elbows) that you arent letting the weights hyper extend your arm (either because you think thats how its done or because of too much weight). Take your time, working out is easy just be slow and deliberate with weights.
