I always found calisthenics to be more useful than weight training. Doing bodyweight exercises on a daily basis certainly transformed my body more than weights did. Nevertheless, to each his own.

You can generally choose one work out from each classification and develop yourself a good complete exercise. And the progressions provide you with choices in situation you can't do a particular work out.
