  • What can go wrong in doing pro boxing just for an extra paycheck?

    For the past few years, I've just been boxing for fun and getting some amateur fights here and there (12-7 currently).

    Thinking of just going pro to get some extra money on the side while I'm at it. Hell, maybe I'll even be good enough to climb up far. What can really go wrong with this? I'm talking fighting only 4 or 6 rounder fights, not something like 12 rounds.

    Oh I dunno, brain damage, death to name the two extremes, but all sorts of injuries that could stop, not just an extra paycheck, but your regular one too

      there are only a hand full that do it because they want to be the best. most do it for the money and love for the sport. take roy jones vs collins. you thinklthey are doing it not to make a little money ?

        Pay attention;

        A Promoter who wants you on his shows!
        A Matchmaker who will match you "fare"!
        A Trainer who could tell you "go get em" or "sit here, your done"!

        Now if you could secure these "Vitals" go ahead, oh yeah do you have any "Medical Insurance"! Cause in boxing the bosses don't offer that!!

        If you don't have the first three essentials you can't "play boxing" you'll get devasted in a few bouts!

        Now if your a white boy who could actually look like a pro boxer and you can sell 100 ringside seats to start with then those first three essentials will be secured for you!!! "Great White Hope=======Can Stand Up, Sell Tickets!
