i sweat buckets too, but it provides a bit of satisfaction to be honest...makes me feel like im putting in hard work and getting bad toxins out of my system.

maybe you can mix gatorade with water, thats what i do...plus it feels like im paying half the price when i get those bottles

Waters clearly the best, pure, no additives, sugar or anything.

I agree with most here. H2O pure and natural.

Coconut Water seems to be all the rage nowadays as far as hydration goes.

But you should be drinking a shytload of water anyway.

After you train coconut water or a sports drink isn't a bad choice

I think so many people underestimate that our body sees water as water, and any other drink including juice, milk, tea, coffee or even soup as some sort of food. Strongly believe one should drink the expected amount of pure water, and add all the other drinks as feels necessary. Though no liquid during a training really boosts endurance, not an easy thing though...

One of my boxing trainers, who is also a sports nutritionist, said you shouldn't need a sports drink unless you are training at a high intensity for more than 90 minutes. Any less than that and water + a recovery snack (banana, protein shake, creamed rice etc.) should be enough. If you are training over 90 minutes then a sports drink helps replace electrolytes, sugars etc.

Also, I was told that those juice sachets, which you mix with water, do the exact same job as sports drinks such as Gatorade and Powerade. I'm not sure what's available in the US or other countries, but here in New Zealand you can use Raro sachets instead, apparently. It's much cheaper.

I generally don't use sports drinks. When I'm training I only drink water and herbal tea.

I use, Zero tablets or Nuun when I'm training.
I have one sometimes two tablets in about 800 ml. I'd usually take two bottles with me.
They are much lighter on the stomach than the high sugar content energy drinks.
