I was part of the VSU Boxing club for the semester I was there. It depends on the instruction you receive. The boxing club there was terrible. Then again, most boxing gyms aren't much better unless you work with a trainer that's found success and understands the sport, possibly having experience themselves.

Im not sure, the one here is great, but thats because we train at the Manchester center of boxing excellence, not with a club trainer. Im sure they are fine

in japan colleges like tokyo agricultural university are known for producing decent amateur boxers. College boxing is highly popular.
