yeah get inside (up close and under) and spam him with punches from all angles. body hooks and uppercuts are handy against the boxers that keep both hands on their face. uppercuts can make your opponent vulnerable to a straight. mix your angles up when you come at him (usually boxers jab to keep you away, so move side to side), e.g. throw a jab, duck right hook to the body, left uppercut (up the middle) and when his chin is raised above his guard, right straight. if he's not KO'd, continue with left hook to the body, right uppercut, left hook to the temple etc. move that head.

        Speed and footwork

When fighting a brawler you have to be on your toes and have good footwork to move and counter. Always helps to have good speed.

you got it wrong. i mostly fight as a boxer-puncher and when fighting brawlers they just swarm all over me trying to get on the inside to land hooks/uppercuts.

The first thing you look to do against ANY fighter is to take away his best punch. If the jab is his key take it away with blocking, slipping and countering. Then move first with punches that ocupy which ever hand is his best weapon. ........but you gotta be good enough to do it!!! Turn a mans strengths into question!!! That immediately puts him on the defense. Ray.

it's all about cutting off the ring, getting your opponent in the corner or on the ropes and do your work.

it's about aggression and getting off first. If you choose to throw a feint trying to draw his shot out it can be rewarding, put the pressure on and don't let him breathe. Most fighters don't train to fight for 3 full and intense minutes, putting it mildly most need little breaks. When their air is gone you know his heart isn't fall behind.
make him fight 3 minutes of every round.

it's about breaking your opponents will, breaking him down physically aswell as mentally, testing him every second of every round. its about getting inside of his jab while working your fists with your feet and never losing a step forward, never missing the punch.

it'a about making him miss, forcing him to react and then countering.
if you take up/adopt this style know that you will go home plenty of times with bumps, bruises and headaches. Keep your gloves at gaurd and roll your way in. If you find the rhytme while rolling in it becomes your dance of punishment and you will dish it out..........Rockin'
