    Not true, unless you are training your legs like a bodybuilder doing sets of a dozen reps and isolation movements.

    If you're an athlete, and you train like that, you're an idiot.

    You should be doing compound lifts like Squats and Deads and 3 at max 5 reps in a given set with moderate to heavy weight. You aren't trying to get big legs, you're trying to make them strong.
