    Boxing regime training.

What is a basic workout regieme for a boxer?

My weight has ballooned to 196 lbs, from 180 in like a month and a half. I'm not "fat" yet, but its a slippery slope.

I need to start shedding the lbs, and I love Boxing, so figure a (selected) regieme would be fun and effective.

Tomorrow onwards, no more chocolate (I've done that before, it lasts a month), no more cola. (full fat).

    Help!

its not just training to lose weight its in how much you eat. you need 500 calories a day less then your maintenance level to lose 1 pound a week.

To lose weight you must burn more calories than you consume. One pound of fat = 3500 calories. Burning 500 extra calories per day * 7 days a week = 3500 calories, hence one pound per week.

Make sure you get weights in there too, or you'll be burning fat and muscle.
If your strength training, your body knows you will need the muscles, but not the fat.
Are you planning on competing? or doing it just for a workout?
