lol yeah i wouldn't want the extra attention, people won't know wtf you're doing with a "gas mask" on. Probably good for using in a gym where people know what it's used for

A few guys at my gym I know use it, they shadowbox with it and stuff, do conditioning drills with it, I don't know about the 2.0 one but I put on the original one and you can't hit bags with it or anything you just really cant see and it fogs up.

A legit piece of gear no doubt, I could see running on a treadmill with it or exercise bike, shadowboxing, conditioning drills etc.

They love it, one of the guys I spar with that trains with it alot has a gas tank like no other, but I believe he's running gear also so I don't know if its the juice or the mask....

I was curious and read a bit on that, from what I read, those masks are nothing like elevation traininig, they deprive you from oxygen, that's it. Might be cheaper to just wear a surgical mask.

i think a better alternative would be building one of those hyperbolic chambers to sleep in, theyre apparently relatively easy and cheap to construct.

bottom line though all the new high speed gear in the world aint going to replace getting in the gym and putting in work. id rather spend my money on good headgear, good gloves and maybe a nut protector if you use em. no need to get all sciency with the training, im old school though, roadwork, floor work, shadowboxing, and most importantly SPARRING. i try to spar everyday im in the gym, i never turn down rounds.

spar as many different people as possible as much as you can, obviously do it intelligently and safe, but i havnt done roadwork in like 3 months or so really and i can spar 6-7 solid hard rounds just on being relaxed and comfortable.

sparring >>> everything else, i read once that james toney used to spar 10 rounds 6 days a week for his training camps and do minimal padwork and bag work and no roadwork yet he could still box the ears off of almost everyone

Waste of money. you are tired, and gasping for breath, therefore your lungs must be weak, right? wrong. even though you are gasping for breath its your heart that is the weak link, and this wont target that at all. You get the same effect by holding your breath running, and noone thinks thats a good idea.

Altitude training can be benificial, sadly this mask wont trigger the positive adaptions you would get

i agree with sparring being the most important aspect of em all...thats why those "fitness" boxers who never spar or compete will never truly learn and understand the sweet science, no matter how many rounds of padwork and bagwork they put in

and toney was a genius...the guy would stand right in front of his opponents against the ropes and he would make em miss miserably..so relaxed and ready
