  • Help a n00bie out

So ive been a long time boxing fan and ive learned a handful of things but i'd really like to learn all i can before i get too "old". im only gonna turn 24 years old this year but in a sport like this age is everything and usually north of 35 means ur about finished.

Ive had no formal training ever.
I dont live by a gym that i could go on a regular or even semi-regular basis.
and im not rich so hiring a trainer doesnt seem like a good idea because ill go broke.

My story is right now im working hard on a degree in college plus i have other obligations.

so long story short im wondering if theres anyone here who is willing to help me out? someone who knows what they are talking about?

    my stats:
    6'1
about (ill weight myself to check where im at) 190 lbs the last time i checked.

my appearance is skinny/tall even at 190. i do workout habitually 5 times per week already. i dont have really any "fat". my major issue is i have a mid section that i cant tighten but its not real flabby...just lacks definition.

i do cardio mostly and weights about once a week (no heavier than 80lb weights as i dont want to add on too much muscle mass...)

no expectations of going pro...i just really want to learn the sport to the point i could spar in a gym, etc. that would satisfy me.

any trainer willing to help me out? i have a webcam so you can check my progress to ensure im learning what you teach me properly (ie. no "bad habits")

Honestly the only thing you should do is join a gym. Nobody is going to train you via webcam.

You could watch some videos but videos will only give you the information without you being able to comfirm if you are boxing right.
