I'm about to buy some boxing shoes and I'm curious how long a pair lasts, should I shell out 80 for nikes?? or buy the cheap ones because no matter what, they both last the same. thanks for the help

You should always buy the best you can afford, and quality shoes when their cared for properly will out last cheaper products always. No different from hand wraps or quality socks the better materials will last longer if their maintained the right way. If you don't learn how to maintain your personal gear it won't last. Anyone who doesn't spend a few minutes to reroll wraps and just throws them in their gym bag usually has no respect for their gear and thats not the way to handle gear that needs to be clean and sanitary so health remains high on priorities.
