  • How to find a boxing gym?

    I'm interested in boxing but have no idea where to start? Do I just walk into a gym? How do I know which ones are good and bad? etc...please give me anything you know on how ot get into boxing! thank you!

    Well, no need to waste gas and time right ? Check out the closest gym in your area, watch how the trainer/s work with their fighters. Talk to some of the fighters, ask how many fights they have won, lost, etc. Ask how many current golden gloves champions there are or were that came from that gym.

      Honestly, I used to think that Golden Gloves winners were something to look at in a gym. At this point I feel Golden Gloves is a glorified toughman competition.

      Everything else is true. Find out how long the gym has been around. The longer, generally the better you'll be. The gym I'm at isn't the most well known, but it's been around and the coaching is damn good. We haven't produced any world beaters and most of the guys can't handle the work. We have some young up and comers, some solid pros, and then me.... Future champ
