    Yes age is not really a factor. You need to lose over 10% body fat alongside abdominal workouts to stimulate and target the muscle group to make them visible.

      The best way to lose fat is to have a good sensible diet combined with exercises that work the big muscles of the body. Such exercises increase your muscle mass which burn fat throughout the day, not just when you are exercising. For example- snatchs, clean and jerks, high repetition squats, deadlifts, rockclimbing.....
