    good amatuer fights to study

ok. since a lot of people are amateurs or aspiring to be amateurs i thought there should be a thread containing amateur fights from back in the day or of current/great champions.

despite the fact that larry lost, I like how he kept moving around in circles. i needed a video like this to improve my overall footwork. thanks so much for the post.

A good fighter to study as far as amatuer competition is concerned would be one of the very best, Howard Davis! Probably the best amatuer boxer I've seen, he won "Outstanding Boxer" on the USA team in the Olympics. Great movement and hand speed and a combination puncher too. Lightening fast feet and hands with tremendous ability to score points.
As a pro this style hurt him greatly but he did attain a title in the pros and along with being an Olympic champ thats a great accomplishment. Ray.

chuck walker was another us Olympian who had a great style. only seen one of his bouts but he had great poise and punch variety.
