  • Boxing regimen help

Hey so I just started boxing and was wondering if you guys could help with my regimen. I just try to work with what I've read around. My main goal is building up endurance/explosiveness for boxing and losing weight.

Mon: run 2.5 (roughly 8min mile rate)

Tues: 100 sit ups bag work, shadowboxing, double end, footwork, jump rope

    Wed: rest

    Thurs: same as tues

Fri: jog 3-4 miles (roughly 15min mile rate)

Sat: 100 leg raises,200 calf raises, 100 pushups , tabata intervals..(thinking of putting dips in this and doing jump pushups instead of regular ones)

    Sun: rest

My main concern is that I'm not doing enough for endurance or running enough or doing anything explosive wise... Any help would be appreciated

not including the 3-4 mile jog, if you did everything on that list everyday 5 days a week you would nearly be completing a boxers full work week. you should be able to complete that whole list in one day if you want to be a fighter, easily..........Rockin'

What rockin said is true aside from the 4 mile run you could easily get that done at a 2 hour boxing session in the gym.
