i am never angry when i fight, but maybe thats why im not great at it i was watching a news report on the Olympic womens boxing team and one of them said you need to be angry to fight. is she right?
I suppose it depends on your level of control. I learned years ago that I perform better when calm. So, I worked hard to develop that and I naturally get very calm when sparring or fighting (I learned how to stay calm because I'm a singer but it transfers into boxing). The disadvantage is that you don't get that extra endurance that adrenaline brings. But, my mind is much more sharp. Can gauge distance much better, see punches coming, adjust game plans easier.
