Wow! I came on here to look for something just like this. I have pain on my left index finger, under my knuckle, on the palm side. It hurts really bad when I apply pressure to that area of if I try to twist that particular finger when its in the bent position. I have had the pain for about a week now. I injured it during sparring since I have a habit of punching with my fist not fully clenched.

I would say to just ice your hand and don't aggravate it any further. Start boxing again once it starts feeling better. I have not gone to the boxing gym since last Saturday.

That sounds similar to what I did, except it was on the top. Hurt if I pressed down on the knuckle. It turned out to be a torn ligament. I've had a week off and it's fine now.

First off, don't hit the bag or anything for that matter until it improves, otherwise you can make the damages worse..shadow box, jump rope and road work should suffice until it heals.

You need to work on how you wrap your hands, go over the knuckles a few more times and if neccessary get some knuckle guards if you're ****ing the bag pretty hard, hand injuries are very common and if not protected properly will stall any progress.

For now, ice it, and work with the rice bucket it'll help and remember to protect it properly
