    M-100 good cardio?

anyone heard of the M-100 workout by sixpackshortcut? I did this and not only I run out of breath but it killed my legs. Do you guys think this exercise is qualified to be replaced with roadwork maybe once a week?

I haven't until I tuned in last night. I was going to run this morning, but then after I saw this, I decided to put them to the test. When I'm done, I'll report back to this tread & give my assessment of them.

Man, you should try the HIIT Tabata protocol....20 seconds of full intensity and a 10 second break, repeat for 4 minutes straight, take a minute break and repeat for 20 minutes total.

My heart rate gets up to 185 or 190 beats per minute and I've lost almost 10 pounds of fat in about a month and a half. I let myself get way, way out of shape to see how the effects would be different from plain running (5 miles a day 3 times a week).

I have to say that 95% of the weight that I've lost has all been fat, little to no muscle mass loss at all. The good thing is that you can do this with almost any exercise: burpees, pushups, platform jumps, squats (with weights or simple body weights), pull ups, sprints, jump rope...whatever.

I'm just now starting to focus on abs again using the ab ripper x from p-90x now that my gut is almost gone and I should be back in excellent condition within the next month (excellent condition for me is about 6-8% fat)
