A Million Styles Boxing will be headed to Asia for the 1st time to be the Head Boxing Trainer at Phuket Top Team http://fightsportasia.com/2012/02/28...d-to-thailand/
I'm pretty excited for numerous reasons.
1) It's always been my dream to teach in Asia, Africa, and Mexico just once before I settle down and open my own gym.
2) This is a great chance to add more to A Million Styles boxing. We came up in NYC, studied on the west coast of America, studied in west and east Europe, and now a chance to study in Asia. This is important because I aim to be a versatile training program.
3) AMSB will finally be physically in Asia. My Training Blog and Vlog have done well there but being there physically is gonna be great for the future business of AMSB long term. PTT is running wild with pro athletes and has great affiliations as I am already booked for seminars in Hong Kong and Malaysia.
4) They have committed to starting an amateur boxing program. That was a major point for me in negotiations. I enjoy working with other folks athletes and will continue to do so. However I want my own fighters from scratch.
5) I deserve this. I bust my ass running around for 4 years so a little warm weather will be nice.
6) A lot of my normal student will come see me this summer instead of me having to fly to them. So that's really cool because it just adds so much flavor to the gym. Im just really excited.
7) We have a good training staff on paper
The response has been awesome as I prepare to head there on the 23rd of March. I'm looking forward to working with Boxing Trainers and Fighters, MMA Trainers and Fighters, Kickboxing Trainers and Fighters, and Muay Thai Trainers and Fighters.
One of the things I love about traveling and training is I get to meet and work with some awesome youngsters. This kid Malik Watson from Chicago is a Martial Artist. Tae Kwon Do Black Belt...I forget his whole resume but let's just say he is a dangerous young man. I can wait to work with him because he is very smart, very talented, and has a sick work ethic. Check out a highlight
So if you guys are in the neighborhood. Come by and see what the buzz is all about and don't forget "Hard Work, Skill, and intelligence Over Ignorance and Superstition."
