    Crazy things to make weight!

I have 2 weeks and some change left before I fight. I still have a few pounds to shed. I was curious about some of the seasoned people in here. What is the most dramatic amount of weight have you dropped in short amount of time and what did you do to achieve that weight goal?

20 lbs but 'm not going to tell you how because the way it's done LITERALLY put you in danger of death.

Just cut down, sweat hard in the gym and be sensible. How much do you have to lose?

I lost 37 pounds in 2 weeks for my 1st fight.and of those 37 pounds i lost 10 of them about 17 hours before the weigh in.
Im not going to tell you how because the way it's done LITERALLY put you in danger of death. But i will tell you this it was the most mentally torturous thing i did my whole life.and i would never want it repeated its that dangerous it was a big tournament and i wanted experience on the big stage for my 1st fight.so i was willing to subject myself to that torture because i wanted to get my 1st fight over and done with.

But the toll it took on my body was tremendous i was severely dehydrated.never again i learned my lesson now if i lose weight for a fight i will at max lose 3 to 6 pounds week. But at the lowest i will lose tha usaboxing recommended 2 pounds a week.

37 pounds in 2 weeks? Did you have them cut off a leg or something?

        James is that you?

yea, i used your words.because i felt the exact way you did and i figured why create a sentence when your sentence described perfectly what could of happened and the truth is i could of ended up in the emergency room.

.the combination of the training routine dehydration routine and eating a extremely low amount of calories for that period.was extremely torturous every day during them 2 weeks i was making weight i felt like **** and i felt like my heart was like a ticking time bomb.i felt like i was within a inch of death.i remember after the fight i told my coach never again will i lose weight so drastically again.some boxers can lose a lot of weight in a short period and be fine for there match Im not one of them i was extremely weight drained it was a failed attempt at weight management

dctopboots01 my b about ******* your sentence without quoting you. This day forward if i borrow a line from anyone because it relates exactly to what Im saying or trying to say i will quote the person Im borrowing it from.

For the last few pounds on (the night before) weigh-in day a few use Albolene and a sauna suit. According to Dolce drinking about 4 á 5L a day helps losing weight too. A bathtub filled with hot water and lots of salt (with or without Albolene applied) is used sometimes too.

I've never cut weight myself (yet). Naturally I walk around 69kg. But I don't drink and snack (fastfood, candy, ect.) at all. Other than fluids I have not much fat able to cut.

I have 10 pounds to go. 10 very stubborn pounds I have been trying to lose by avoiding all carbs, fats and sugars. Keeping calories extremely low. Drinking almost 2 gallons of water a day and doing intense very intense workouts on a empty stomach. This is really bothering me. I have waited so long for my first fight and I don't to lose it over something ****** like weight. Any advice appreciated.

You have 2 weeks to lose 10 pounds? That's plenty of time. You will be fine just eat healthy and work hard. It shouldn't be that hard.
