what do i need to get started?

hellz yeah...ur prob talken about Golden Glove gym ran by Ace Miller?? am i correct?....i'm a boxing instructor in Murfreesboro TN...we usually have gloves one can use first time or so altho i always recomend getting your own when first can...its an mma gym and w the mats we dont allow shoes...well not suppose to but i'm nice and aint my rule lol...i like 16oz gloves tho for everyone or poss the 14oz if ur smaller..handwraps for a beginner tho is essential i think yeah u may not be hitting w much power yet but ur not hitting with proper techniques either the wraps provide stability and protection....hmm tell me more bout ya i got a guy in Knox i've been training for his "fraternity fights"

yea thats the one im talking about. so is is a good gym do they train women? i have no experiance in boxing, i have been wanting to get into for a few years. i just moved up here from florida and am going to school up here. im out of shape but am getting in shape, trying to. hopefully in 2 weeks ill be signing up for the gym, if its not to much, and i should be comming into school loans pretty soon and will buy some gear then.

it is a very good gym actually...guy i worked w over break is goin to school there i could try and hook yall up mayb u could poss know someone then...he goes there for extra training but dont think he is a member there...ur best bet for womens boxing would b under Christy Halbert in Nashville..but yeah ur not all that close for that lol. But yeah i'm sure there are some girls up there no doubt..

I bought bag gloves first because I didn't feel comfortable sparring on my first day. But my sparring gloves are quite a bit more expensive than my bag gloves.

well i told my mom i am going to start training to box. she said that is great, her dad won the golden gloves in reno in like the 1940's or 50's or something like that and was 2 fights away from the olymppics and her uncle was one fight away from the olympics, so she is excited and so is my grandpa. she is going to take me to ****s to get a cheap pair of bag gloves and handwraps untill i can afford to get a nice pair. http://www.****ssportinggoods.com/pr...417722.4417842
those are the ones i will be getting i hope i know they are not good but they will do hopefully till i get another pair
