  • When trying to lose weight..

does it really help if you wear layers of clothes?or is all that matter is your work rate?if you have only a few days to make weight, i can see how it would help since you lose all the water weight, but long term, calorie wise, does it help to wear layers of clothes everytime you workout or not?

only wear those plastic suites to lose weight from sweat in the last 24 hours before a weigh in. they make your body heat up so it has to use more energy to cool you down and lowers performance levels so I wouldn't use them on a regular basis. but putting on an extra layer if it's cold is probably the best thing to do.

nah. . . don't overdo it everytime you workout because you'll just gain that 2-5 pounds right back when u drink/eat. . . however, it wouldn't hurt to just wear an extra layer or something - then over time it will help some. . . but don't overdo it; that's only if u need to make weight in a 48-72 hour time. . . for wrestling we used to do that shyt - it was brutal. . . not drinking or eating for 48 hours, except a few sips of water and a handful of carrots or vegetables. . . spitting in a bottle to get that extra few oz's. . .
