  • biceps size

Hello boxingforum comunity. First of all, I am sorry if I am posting this thread in the wrong section.
My question is, when the measurements are taken for biceps, the boxer is flexing his arms, or the biceps are un-flexed?
For example: a prime Mike Tyson had 16" biceps...was that measured while his biceps were flexed, or unflexed? I was thinking that the measurement was taken while his biceps were unflexed.. 16" seems to be really small for a flexed biceps. Another example is Rocky Marciano, it seems that he had only 14" biceps size, and I assume it was taken while unflexed. What do you guys think?
    Thanks for your time

probly flexed, boxers dont really pay much attention or no attention at all to the bodybuilding type of training

Boxers measurements are taken while muscles are flexed, but those numbers are used more by HBO and Showtime for the crowd, and for the announces to have things to talk about... I highly doubt Tyson or Marciano really cared about their bicep size...
