Video of Pad work at the house with my brother lol

So it's the holidays and it's been getting harder and harder to go to the gym haha. Let me know what you guys think of my video. ( done in my living room)
There's one part in the video where I kind of got mad at him and told him to quit being scared. He sometimes gets scared when I hit the pads because his hands hurt. Idk, let me know what u think.

actually not bad. your using the full length of your arm and punching through the target which is good(see some people throwing ****ty punches that travel a few centermeters and do sod all. try to work on more diverse combos (not the same punches over and over, mix in different shots). work on the mechanics of punches, use the entire body to get power in punches. especially when your throwing more than one. your coach should be able to give better advice than any Internet forum.

Try and pull your left hand back quicker after you throw a jab. And if your gonna throw a double jab bring your hand and arm right back to original position before throwing the second.

That's funny because my boxing coach and everyone at the gym says I have a really good fast hard jab and a good straight.

when you throw rights you drop the left a bit, keep it up.

also when you throw combos your dropping your right.

really just all around make sure your keeping your hands up, watch that vid of yourself and take note of where your guarding hand is every time your throwing a punch. your guarding hand should never be below the tip of your chin.

like when you throw rights your right dips down alittle before you throw, dont do that.

if your not going to the gym as much one of the best things you can do is record yourself and watch it back watch your hands and think about your guard. make sure your tip of your chin is allways protected.

as well watch your punches make sure your not doing little things that telegraph your punches, like dipping your right a little before you throw the right. stuff like that shows your about to throw a right and it leaves your chin wide open.

another thing is making sure when you throw rights your turning into it enough that your chin is tucked behind your right shoulder.

Yeah thanks, also my brother is not the best pad holder in the world. He pulls back sometimes last minute so it hurts my shoulders. He gets scared idk why lol

you are bowing out when you are using a jab and it can easily be seen that you don't quite know your range. I can see you reaching for the mitts with every punch. You can also see on your straight you are arm punching. Just overall waayyy too much exerted energy for little nuances that needs to be fixed, your heavy breathing over that is a bit of a sign.

Don't take offense to it, but your fluidity, mechanics and knowledge of range isn't there yet, it will come in time.

Once again its hard to find your range when the pad holder is always moving it last minute. But thanks for the advice!

even with the padholder you can tell you were too far/close many times just by the distance you were standing. You always have the ability to re-adjust with footwork.
