That's what I'm talkin' about JohnCods. For your first fight, I'd say you looked pretty good

    If I were you..

    1. I would've been busier with the jab and used it as a set up, especially when your opponent was going straight back and was a bit frazzled with the fact that you just tagged him.

    2. Work on your defense !! Especially after you just finished throwing a punch. Did you notice how much you dropped your hands after each punch you threw ?

    3. Don't get so eager after landing a punch, I understand it's your first fight, but next time, stay composed and really look for the openings, work behind that jab !! Running after him the way you did would get you clocked against a more experienced fighter.

Besides blaming it on the fact that u turned southpaw, what else do you think contributed to you getting knocked down ?

Kid in blue was a sucker for a good liver shot. Several times when rushed in he'd straighten up and cover his head.

        Did you slip?

        Or was it a knockdown?

I'm watching the referee can't tell if he ruled it a slip or a knockdown.

Apparently the ref ruled it a slip. I actually thought it should have been a KD because I wouldn't have " slipped " if he didn't hit me with that right. But I'll take it lol

Yea you're right. I think I did sneak in a couple of body shots in there but I definitely should have threw more.

Thanks. One year now. And it wasn't a real amateur fight per se but it was as close as it gets. There were about 250 people in there that night.
And you should man it's an awesome experience being able to do it infront of a live crowd. Adrenaline gets you amped like crazy. Good luck if you do fight.
