    hey guys, im not 100% clear on the rules of british amateur boxing. could someone give me an official site that lists things like weight categories, round length and if there are any sub categories in amateur divisions such as elite or something. i tried the abae website but it just confused me more

    I can't post links yet, but if you google "Amateur Boxing Rules", the first result links you to a pdf on the ABAE website of the rules and regulations.

      yeah i checked that first, but it just confused me more. it talks about different classes and levels. that was what confused me

        look thru the index find what pages its on and browse through it...not sure what else you'd b looken for...

          yeah thats the one i already read, but i couldnt work out what catagory i was in. i presume senior novice or abae senior. it looks like the weight classes are the same (69-75 for middleweight) but the rounds are different.

            What exactly do you want to know mate?

            If you are over 17 and haven't entered the ABA elite championships, or haven't won your regional finals of ABA novice (under 10 bouts or under 20 bouts) championships then you would still be classified as a novice.
