  • Weight loss help.

Hi all I need some advice...

I have been going to the gym now for around two months 1hr/1.5hrs at a time 3/4 days per week. I do a mix of cardio and weights trying to up each every time I go.

the problem is I have not lost any weight what so ever in fact I think I have put weight on ie: I cant fit into my suit trousers anymore.

I dont drink or smoke and I dont eat ****, I take fish oil & green tea extract twice a day and have one protein shake only on gym days when I finish.

Its stomach fat that is the problem, has anyone got any ideas/tips I could do with some.??

the reason you are gaining weight is because you are putting on muscle

if you want to lose weight just do cardio and stop hitting the weights

It's more to do with the stomach (waist size) I'm not putting on muscle there really.

Cardio, and the right diet, small portions every 2.5 to 3 hours and lots of water.

lol, it's because your putting on muscle. Ass and thighs put on muscle, make your pants not fit anymore. All it takes is an inch.

Ask someone there if they can measure bodyfat and get that measured and do it every two weeks or monthly if you want to keep on top of things. That way you will see what fat is coming off you.
That way you can see if you need to eat a little less or do a little more CV, or maybe do both. Keep light / medium weights in there, no harm will come, only benefits, you won't turn into Arnie over night lol

You really need to post up your diet and routine

This is definitely a diet issue. Light/moderate weight training will only help to burn calories. There is no denying the calorie in calorie out concept. Eating more protein helps but not at the expense of upping your calories. You need to lower your calorie intake. Eating smaller, more frequent portions will help but make sure you overall calorie intake is less. This will cause you to lose weight. Also no eating or snacking too close to bedtime. If you must have something have a whey protein & water shake. Trying substituting a shake for a meal at some point during the day. Its tough but you will have to sacrifice and be at least a little hungry during the day. You should be doing at least 4 or 5 days of cardio a week, at least 30 minutes, preferably 45mins-hour. If you can, doing a half hour of cardio in the morning on an empty stomach helps as well.

Not 100% true if you want to do weights to lose weight there is no need to do cardio. Is all abot cal consumption.

It's simple really. You need to burn more calories, which means doing more cardio.
