    New to boxing

    whats up everyone, im 21 5"10 220 pounds, trying to lose a lot of weight, i started boxing about a month ago. ive also just started running, 2.5 miles 3 times a week which isnt far i know but im just starting. i want to get down to around 160 pounds and maybe start competing in the amateurs. anyway any tips or advice is really appreciated!

    lots of tips already here just dig thru some of em and do a lil reading...ask for specific advice etc....mainly in boxing its all about hard work and dedication...welcome to the sport lol..any specifics ? feel free to pm me...oh and where u from???

      im from london, england. everyone is shocked how serious ive taken this, ive completely changed everything i eat and a train really hard

        Good, because that is what its gonna take. Dont try moving too quickly, that can be dangerous in this game.

          ahh well hmm things i'm sure are different over there...but..i'm assuming you have a gym? It's cool if you dont yet...its def a plus to get in2 some shape b4 finding the right gym...look around...ask some peeps about different gyms and go to one that suits u best...

            yeah ive joined a boxing gym, i do about 3 beginner classes a week
