Alot off articles i'v read about dietin and eating healthy... always mention sweet potatos ... how come they use sweet potato more than just ur regular patato ?

Sweet potatoes have a lower Glycemic index compared to normal potatoes....meaning that they convert to glucose in your blood slower giving you more steady and prolonged energy levels, whereas most normal potatoes (with the exception of new potatoes) will cause your blood sugar levels to rise rapidly giving you a quick burst of energy then crash.
Not only is this bad for performance but also bad for your health.
Also sweet potatoes are a ****load better in terms of vitamins and minerals, lots of beta carotene, fibre, antioxidants and all other sorts of good stuff, whereas normal potatoes dont really have that much nutritional value.
