  • Building muscle and increasing stamina at the same time?

I know that roadwork is a must for boxers, but currently i want to focus on gaining muscle. I usually run 4~7km, and i feel like my arm shrank since I feel like doing cardio more than weightlifting. My body responds to weightlifting the best. So should I cut down on my roadwork and do some intense interval training for 9~15 minutes rather than doing long marathon runs? Thanks

Look at my roadwork article. Ross Enaimait recommends the same. Your fitness won't decrease plus it will become more relevent to boxing. Me and Ross emailed eachother on this topic once. Big long runs will burn calories/slow down muscle gain effects where as interval let your muscles recover. Il'd recommend 2 interval run and one sprint training a week.
