if im 24 years old when the golden gloves start in 2012 and only have 3 fight under my belt, would i be able to fight in open class? or does it matter?

just confused about the process so all thought and comments are appreciated. thanks

You wouldn't fight open

You can fight in the open class is you choose to. But unless you have exceptional talent I would stay in the senior novice.

Back in '85 I fought in the silver gloves in Michigan. I had 5 bouts at the time and decided that instead of fighting in the c class (novice) that I wanted to fight in the A class (like open). I did well, fought the defending national champion, who had 80+ bouts, lost a close decision but went on a tear for my next 10 fights or so with the boost in self confidence.......Rockin'
