Training in High altitudes will increase your endurance

I always wonder why boxer like marquez travel 2 hours daily to train in an aprox 2800 mts altitude.
It seems that training in those conditions with less oxygen, makes your body to produce more Red Cells.

The advantage of this is that your body gets used to function with less oxygen, so when you perfom some physical activity your endurance would be increased dramaticlly.

Thats what some PEDS do like the EPO, increase your red cells for better perfomance.

Lets all go to Big Bear or Mexico city to train lol

I made a thread about Ariza saying it's not good to just have a training camp at high altitude.

maybe if youre a champion and you already squeezed everything out of your body and maxed it out you can get an edge over your opponent and improve your cardio just a little bit and stuff. but for people like us its not gonna help

I think Ariza said this to put doubt in the Mosley camp. I mean, 100 years later and all of a sudden training in high alt is not good.

Yup... You have to live there... If you only go high altitude for camp it'll hurt your camp. Your lungs have to grow to extract more oxygen from the thin air. It takes time.
