How do you spar against some who has hand speed

Speed is always a tough thing to deal with. Touching him in his body to slow him down never hurts.

In one golden glove fight I faced this cat that was extremely fast. Thing is that he had no power. I tried to catch him through the first round but was unable to do it. So in the second round I got his timing abit. Knowing that he didn't punch with power I basicaly took his jab, stepped in and rolled back over with a solid right hand. Caught him flush and he dropped hard, fight over.

I always found guys who were faster than me to be trouble some. Tarrick Salmaci was really fast and luckily I was able to spar him every day. This will make your eyes sharp as hell and you'll start picking things up (as in what he's throwing) alot quicker. My game against Salmaci was pressure, pressure and more pressure. I'd never get off of him to allow him to use his speed. It worked many more times than not............Rockin'

Plow into him.

Use a high guard.

Get an idea for where he moves his head when he punches.

Punch his head when he punches.

If he moves his head a lot, hit his body when he punches.
