    What works best as far as results: crunches,leg lifts,reg.situps and how many intervals and rest periods??

    a combination of different exercises max intensity. For me the secret is proper breathing so you don't cramp up prematurely. Also don't drink much water while doing ab exercises or cramps.
    I usually go until muscle failure rest take a swallow. Then repeat 3X each exercise.

      mixture of crunches, situps, bicycle kicks, leg raises, plank, etc...

      go all out each session...
