    Hand weights for speed???????

I hear using hand weights exsplosively helps to increase hand speed & muscular indurance in your arms, this true?

ALSO, whats the best weight to use???
i heard that 5lb in each hand is optimal?
    (im a super middle weight)

    please help me out thanks!

    It helps alot.

I used 2-3lb weights in each hand. 5lb is just too much. You want to be able to throw a punch hard as you normaly would, I found the 5lb weights tore up my shoulder when digging hooks. I'd say, even though you are a little heavier than I was, that 3lbs should be the most you should mess with during shadowboxing.............Rockin'
