Long story short, I thought I could "tough out" an ingrown toenail since I have had so many before and they always went away after I dug them out. Ended up with an major infection: fever, swelling, nice spider veins and stuff of that sort, lost mobility/sensation in that foot, and the puss buildup was so great, it squirted out and two toenails removed with pliers. If I had just taken care of it the way it was supposed to, I would have been down for a few hours from the Dr's visit instead of waiting for my big toenail and the one next to it to grow back.

As if I didn't learn my lesson from that time, I did it again and this time with my thumb.

If you're diabetic, an infection can kill ya.

To the OP - take care of your body if you want it to last, we're just a bunch of internet Doctors.
I'ts a blister, not an ingrown toe nail. Tough it out champ.......Rockin'

I forgot to say check out mole skin, that works most of the time. But in ring shoes, I would not recommend it, those things are snug enough.
