  • Skinny, Need Help With Eating

Okay, so forget the last thread, my trainer is helping me out with a ton of that stuff,

    My main thing is this:

How can a skinny guy like me eat right?

What are some good, easy to cook foods to eat?

And what are some ways to tell if a food is okay to eat? (Like not eating a certain amount of fat, etc.)

How can I tell if I should eat certain meats or not? Like I know we try to get protein, so what type of meat would be okay to eat?

And throughout all of this, keep in mind, the easier the better

And are the following foods okay to eat:

    Cheese in general
    Pepperoni, Salami

how skinny and why is it a concern?

    what's your height and weight?

we got guys in the gym who are like 5'7 or 5'8 and weigh 118lbs, seemed unhealthy to me, but they eat balanced meals, and drink lots of water and are in shape, what's your ideal goal?, because weight will come with time, I'm not getting why you'd want to gain weight tho.

I don't want to gain weight, I just want to gain muscle. Even if I lose all my fat,

I want to AT LEAST keep my weight,

I'm 6 foot tall and only 135 pounds.

It's a concern because I don't want to try to eat healthy, but end up losing even more weight.

I sort of like my weight just because I know I'll have a big height advantage. But I want to make the best of what I have, and make it all muscle

I just want help eating right and gaining muscle, that's all.

and I'm also wondering if elbow noodles, with parmesan cheese, would be a good carbohydrate? (I'm addicted to these).

And I asked my brother for help, who knows a ton about nutrition,

but he keeps suggesting for me to just eat as much as I can and to drink whole milk and stuff like that,

All I know is gaining any weight with fat just seems counter productive, and I just want to keep my weight, or gain weight, with muscle, I just want muscle, How can I keep my weight and gain muscle?

To gain muscle, you have to eat an increased amount of calories. No matter what, some fat will be gained. It's inevitable or every big guy who lifts would be all muscle and that is clearly not the case.

The best way to do this is to eat slightly over maintenance. That way you will minimize fat gain to almost none. Eat 100-200 calories more that you do everyday and you will gain a very little amount each week.

But you don't want to just gain muscle for boxing. That's what bodybuilders do. They use light weights for higher reps. When in the gym, use it for strength and strength only. Low reps like 3-5 will greatly increase your strength without bulking you up too much. A nice beginner program is the 5x5 program (5 sets of 5 reps for each exercise). Judging by your weight, you must not lift at all. Or you are lifting but not eating. Only do compound lifts. There is no need to go in the gym and do bicep curls. Save them for the beach goers since your goal is to increase strength and become a better boxing. Lifts like squat, deadlift, military press, rows, pullups, and bench press is a good start.

Eat big but eat CLEAN foods! No need to bulk up on junk food. This will just increase your chances of gaining more fat.

intake lots of Chicken, Turkey, Lean red meats, fish. and all your carbs need to be whole grain, and brown!!...

make sure you're drinking lots of water too though..
