You'd have to start with the amatuers and learn the trade by the peers around you. Hopefully somebody will take you under their wing and mentor you through it.

Judging is fairly easy if you know the sport but refereeing can be troublesome for new guys. You need to be able to keep close to the fighters yet not get in the way. And let me tell you that things go down really fast in the ring, you gotta be sharp.

I started with the amatuers and found that it was like a duck and water. Having fought for awhile it was natural instinct on calling a fight and being in the proper position to keep it clean. If you do get reffing remember this, always look out for these young men. If you think that it is going to end ugly for a guy then stop the fight when its getting bad. These young men will fight another day if you take care of them. In the amatuers it is saftey FIRST.

I passed my test with the ABC a few years ago to start reffing the pros, but a stroke has put that on hold. So in the mean time I'm looking to test for the judging in the pros. I've had some great mentors through my time and they all have really helped me to grow.

Judging and reffing, and your nose shouldn't get messed up. It really is a good time doing it.......Rockin'
Sorry, I agree with Warcotto only when he said that I can think to do something about boxe that doesn't damage my schnoz (does it mean nose?) because I don't love coaching or reefering.
So if I can't fight, I'll be able to train without fighting.
But if my reasoning was right, I belive that I could also fight.

I apologize if my english is bad or if I don't understant some phrases or word, but as I already said, I'm not english.
    Thanks again

Your nose will get hit, the only one who can tell you if your nose holds up and if/how its look will change is your doctor. If you don't trust his judgement enough, get a second opinion from another doctor. Good luck, I hope it works out!

        I apologize, schnoz is nose.

just train, no sparring, do pad work (mitts) twice as much to make up for the lack of sparring, and let time do it's job and see how it all works out, but like me and Rockin' have suggested, if Boxing is your passion but you can't physically get in there and do it, help someone else who can get there, coaching isn't bad and you can always train no matter what. good luck

          Don't worry

I would like to ask surgeon if I can do boxe but I'm sure that he'll answer me that I can.
I'm sure of it because after the operation he said me that after 6 months my nose would have been as new and also that I would have been able to do anything.
I could ask him as my nose could become after an eventual fracture but I think he'll answer me that he doesn't know how my nose will be.
For this reason I would speak with him but I don't know what I have to ask him.

Now I'm going to start training as you've described and then take eventually decisions about sparring, fighting etc
About coaching I don't belive I have the means to do it..

          Thanks thanks thanks guys

OT: I hope my english is good xD

Hey if you want to try it so much go right ahead and if you ever decide to spar, you can always use a headgear with a face bar to protect your nose.
