Just eat healthy food starting out. Limit junk like soda, fried foods, candy etc. You will get pretty hungry when you start to train because your body will demand fuel to accomdoate the workload. So fill it up with good foods. Lean meat, low fat dairy, fruit, vegetables, cereals, wholegrain bread, etc.

And yes you need carbs as a boxer. Lots of them. But try and stick to complex carbs like cereals, wholegrain bread etc and stay away from too many simple carbs like sugar.

No need for anything too complex starting out. Just good food and try to learn as much as you can in the gym. The serious dieting and stuff comes after you have competed a few times and things get more intense.

Your Diet should be about 60% Carbs 25% Protein and about 15% Fats..and remember to try to drink between a half gallon to a whole gallon of water DAILY!!

Your first couple weeks will be HELL!..lol..it's gonna be a lot of Cardio, a lot of jumping rope, running, and other forms of cardiovascular exercises..so if your stamina is **** now, brace yourself..good luck and cong**** man
