Hey guys,
Yesterday I became 21 yrs old. I'm a 1.87m southpaw, weighing 94 kilos.
I'm training 5 times a week, and I'm totally dedicated to the sport. I really want to pick up amateur boxing, but not too soon: I really want to be ready. My goal is to be champion in my home country (belgium).
My gym is very decent and professional. Very experienced trainer (former Olympic boxer) and good sparring partners: experienced boxers, even one is a pro and another has been heavyweight champion in Belgium. So I know the drill
I was hoping if you guys have any tips for me? Any useful combinations for a quite heavy punching southpaw? Strategies for fighting orthodox fighters? Special training^tips maybe?
I don't know if I should gain a few kilos and fight in the heavyweight division in the amateurs, or lose a few and fight in the cruiserweights division?
Thanks in advance!
