Its a league all on its own, it seems like theres amatuer boxing, the olympics and then professional boxing. How far apart is it from Amatuer and Professional. What is the process of trying out for the olympic team? (Atleast USA what would it be like?)

Also depends on what weight you're fighting at, some guys choose to fight at lower or higher weights because of supposed weak competition.
Trials are hell though, everyones fighting for that spot.

amateur boxing is bull****. you will get robbed way more often. go to nationals, turn pro. thats how it works. you just get robbed at the higher amateur levels because of bull**** politics. **** it. its harder to succeed because youve gotta play their game.

It seems like a really good achievement in boxing. No one can take away the fact you were a gold medalist as oppossed to being world champion, which you can gain but also lose. By any chance is anyone training to be in the olympics?Last edited by RightStraight; 01-16-2011, 04:12 AM.
