  • How hard is it to be an Olympic boxer

Its a league all on its own, it seems like theres amatuer boxing, the olympics and then professional boxing. How far apart is it from Amatuer and Professional. What is the process of trying out for the olympic team? (Atleast USA what would it be like?)

Some profesionels are on the same level as the bad amatuers. Olympics are pretty good profesionels.
If you get to the final, you go through like 6-8 fights, it's insaley hard.

Also depends on what weight you're fighting at, some guys choose to fight at lower or higher weights because of supposed weak competition.

Trials are hell though, everyones fighting for that spot.

amateur boxing is bull****. you will get robbed way more often. go to nationals, turn pro. thats how it works. you just get robbed at the higher amateur levels because of bull**** politics. **** it. its harder to succeed because youve gotta play their game.

It seems like a really good achievement in boxing. No one can take away the fact you were a gold medalist as oppossed to being world champion, which you can gain but also lose. By any chance is anyone training to be in the olympics?

do you want me to specifically cite dudes getting robbed at nationals or something? christ. i think you meant "brainiac". i had a bunch of stuff typed up, but i dont really feel like having you try to split any more hairs. im not into dropping names, if you want me to give you some useless, in-depth information then i guess i could.
