looks good, nice lateral movement... do you do this often? if so do you only do the 90 seconds or do you usually do it in 3 minute rounds?
I go hard about 45 mins, 5 min boxing, 1 minute rest.

By "self-thought" stance I'm assuming he means self-taught. Which is a terrible idea for anyone wanting to learn how to box. Stance is the most important first aspect of learning, and if you don't know **** yet, anything you learn on your own is usually wrong, and anything you learn after wards is now being built on a faulty foundation. You're in essence creating a series a bad habits, that will be twice as hard to unlearn if you ever do decide to learn how to box.. properly.
If a person only cares to shadowbox for a camera to show others and nothing else, well, that's a different deal. In which case, who cares.
And who said I was turning pro, I simply asked for a rating (Proper punching, movement etc,.) based on that video. NOthing more, nothing less.

dont drop your hands, even if you're gonna make some wonky angle out of it.
tuck your chin - "Chin down, eyes up"
get a coach
dont drop your hands when you punch
your elbow needs to be higher on your hook so that your shoulder blocks your chin
extend your punches completely, turn them over all the way, and make sure your shoulders come up more so that your chin tucks into them when you punch
when your hands are up, you need to turn your fists in slightly. not all the way flat against your head, not all the way so that the knuckles face out. you feel me?
i saw u body jab.. you should kind of bent your torso over. it lowers your head height and you wont get tagged. watch mayweather's first pro fight for the textbook body jab.
on your double jab, pull the first one back to your face before firing the second one. you can even reload it with your shoulder, but that depends on who's tellin ya.
tuck your elbows into your body, try and stick with a consistent stance.
dont lean back ever... keep a slight tilt in and sit down a bit more. always sit down more.
i cant even see your feet, but stay off your heels.
with all that being said, i could not have taught myself as well as you have without a coach. that's for real.
GOOD WORK ON MOVING YOUR HEAD. so many people dont do this and it is one of the most important aspects of boxing. if you dip punches, make sure you dip with your legs and focus on your opponents chin.
good work overall man!

The best thing you can do to learn boxing is to go to a gym and work with trainers. We can tell you this stuff all day, you can watch videos all day, but you'll get better results learning it hands on in the gym.Last edited by Toy Story 3; 01-07-2011, 04:21 PM.
